Well yeah, i actually fell sick @ about 7-ish last night. I felt really really tired so yeah i went to bed early. Then i start feeling hot, and i feel myself burning up under the covers, so yeah i got up, went over and took some panadol. Went back to bed, but yeah it still wasn't that good. I tossed and turned for ages. I kept waking up after 1-2 hour intervals, and i just couldn't get proper sleep.
So yeah, i wasn't gonna go uni today, but i had to hand in an assignment due today. The reason why i had to go was that we had to sign some form saying we haven't plagiarised anything, and if we weren't there, then yeah we could get 0. So i had to go to uni.
Hilarious thing happened on the bus today. I was just sitting there and stuff, doing nothing, then the bus stops to pick up people. It stood there 4 a while for this asian middle-aged woman to come on board. Then, she just walks on oblivious to the fact that u gotta pay... So what happened after was that the driver took off his sunnies, gets outta his drivers seat, walks up to her, and goes:
"So where would you like to go?" "Macquarie Centre? Well you have to pay..."
Some of the chix from the girls school started giggling, and i was just sitting there stunned that someone actually did something like that. Now i've seen and experienced stoopidity, but this is definitely up there.
Well anyway, had micro today and yeah i was that sick that even though i still maintained the 2 week buffer between myself and the lecturer, as in i'm 2 weeks ahead, i didn't get everything totally, so yeah me being sick did affect me i guess.
What usually happens, since i've got a 3 hour lecture, is that we have breaks and stuff in the middle of it. Our lecturer is usually the really strict type when it comes to timing and talking, so yeah he's got a big thing about etiquette. Today, this guy walked in about 45 mins late, and the lecturer goes:
"That's really rude to do something like that."
Now i thought that was all. Then, after the break, a few people walked in about 15 mins late, then, he stops the lecture, and gives us a 10 minute lecture about being on time and how it's very rude and all. It was like he was on a mission to make it clear to us that he doesn't want anyone late. He's going on about how being late is an indicator to how you'll go in the finals and stuff, how if you're consistently late to class, you'll fail and stuff. We were all like "Er...ok" and stuff like that. It was really really weird.
I thought that'd be all for today, like that's it no more and stuff like that. Well yet again i was wrong and it was worse.
I thought having a lecturer stopping a lecture just to talk about etiquette was bad. Then, when i had my tute, my tutor was sick again so we had another replacement. This time, she's like a fob or something, seriously took us a while to understand what she was trying to tell us. Then, what she said made us that lost that most of the class was really rowdy, myself included. Besides, (for all you comm/yr 11/12 eco ppl should know this), most of the tute was about absolute/comparative advantage. Seriously a waste of an hour which i could have done something more productive.
Had lunch with Geoff and Kim and since i was sick, i made some crappy sandwiches so yeah no good food for me. Geoff was funny though, like stoopid funny. He split some pepsi on his jeans, and then he touched it and he was like "shit". Alright, that's not that funny, but what he said next was:
"I thought it was my phone vibrating. Then i thought about it
and it was the wrong leg..."
Yeah that's pretty stoopid in my books. Of course there are plenty of other people who've done worse than that. But apart from that, nothing too much to say about lunch.
Then, had to hand in the assignment. Thanda slept in so she missed micro and lunch, but yeah she didn't miss anything much anyway. The tutor walked in early as well, so yeah i was late to class. Had to go in, sign the form thing, and then handed it in. Also, i think this has been the first stat tute that was actually fun, yes fun, that was actually enjoyed it. It was like the first lecture where we didn't have to think or make up some bs.
After, the prac was nothing much, just doing stuff here and there. But yeah i had to leave 1/2 an hour early 'cause of my bus. Stoopid STA not putting any routes to my place from uni so that i've only got 1 bus route to my place. So because of that i have to wait about an hour for a bus. Now if i didn't leave my prac 1/2 an hour early, i'd have to wait 50 mins for the next bus to arrive. With me being sick and stuff, there was no way i was up for that, so yeah i left early.
Got home, and yeah haven't really done much. Just trying to get myself back up to scratch really.
Tomorrow, just some r&r and yeah, really that's all i'll do tomorrow. If i feel like it, maybe some acct work. Yeah i really need to get my priorities done now.
One last thing about my thoughts that i was gonna go on about. What's been said in the chatbox is true. My mind has been crumbling because of a person. But yeah that was on the weekend. Now, with everything flipped around, it's the last thing on my mind. When i actually do think about it, if it was on the weekend, i would have been going "Omg omg omg...stop argh" and it would have been killing me. Now when i think about it, it doesn't hurt anymore. I'm just trying to get myself back on track, and then trying to nail the acct exam, then trying to get to Opal's b'day bash, then gotta worry about church teaching and committees. THEN, after all of that, i might stop and think about it. It's unlikely that i will have time for it in the near future, but maybe during my break or something. It's just gonna be hectic starting this week.
But yeah first thing's first, gotta get better, then i'll think about other things.
