It's finally over, well almost. The official stuff is over, but there's still some unofficial post-event stuff still left to do. But it's finally over, no more organising for church. Most of the stuff that's been on my mind and the stuff that i've had to put most work into are no longer. So happy.
Went to vote in the morning, and omg we had to wait for quite a bit of time, like 20 minutes before we could vote. Why i'm complaining is that usually we'd wait like 5 minutes tops, but yeah we went in later today so yeah oh well. It was a no-brainer who was going to make it in the House of Reps so yeah no point of voting there, but the Senate was a tough one, even though right now it looks as if the Liberals will control the Senate as well. Not good...
After that and lunch, went over to church to set-up the games. There were quite a few people that showed up that i didn't expect, eg Dan, Ben and Betty, just to name a few. It was because that Ben and Betty have the HSC to do in like a few days time, that i didn't want them to come, but Ben thought that everyone had to show, so he showed when he didn't need to and Betty, well she promised her kids that she would go, so yeah she didn't have a choice. But yeah i thought the more helpers, the better really. But it turned out that there were more helpers than there were kids. The last time this was held, the kids outnumbered the helpers 2:1, but yeah this time around it wasn't to be.
So the thing went well really, but yeah it could have been heaps better if more people showed up. People had to pay upfront as well, and some kids didn't show...oh well it's their money. It was like $2 per person anyway, so parents would have been like "Who cares, it's only $2". But yeah the games went kinda well and all so it was alright i guess. Most of the stuff was settled and i just went around delegating stuff to people and just assigning people to areas and all that.
But something that came from this was that no matter how much effort you put in, and regardless if the event turns out to be a success or not, it's still worth it for the kids. It's for their benefit and i'm glad that i could help.
Going to leave it a short post today, since it wasn't that interesting, but yeah after, called Vani, Lucy, Kev, Monica, Jess and Selina to discuss about various stuff.
Tomorrow isn't that interesting but yeah it's just church again and more baptism classes. It's confusing already and we're all like "I don't get it..."
Now all i need to do it just to think about the stuff that i want. I have the time to think now. I'm so happy. Now everything just depends upon what i think about...
